Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Kathmandu Airport and Hotel transfer

You will land at Kathmandu airport. A team from Everest View will reach before your landing to pick you up. The team will facilitate a quick plus hassle free hotel transfer to your hotel. You will complete check in after reaching the hotel. Our members will then wave you goodbye. You may rest on the bed to recover after long hours of air travel. Later you will be welcomed by the Exciting team including the guides for your expedition. The team will offer dinner at the hotel as part of your warm welcome.

Day 2

Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding

Flight Duration: 40 minutes | Trekking Duration: 3 to 4 hours | Maximum Altitude: 2640 m | Accommodation: Teahouse

The day arrives to begin the journey toward the home of Lobuche Peak within the Khumbu Everest region. You will board an aircraft that completes the flight to Lukla in approximately 40 minutes. The flight offers scenic views where the Himalayan range appears clearly through the plane window. Upon arrival your entry to the gateway of Everest is welcomed by the local community of Lukla at Tenzing Hillary Airport at 2800 m.

After a short rest in Lukla you will begin the trek toward Phakding. The trail leads into forested terrain while following the course of the Dudh Milk Koshi River. The route passes through several small settlements that reflect local mountain life. Along the riverbank of the Dudh Koshi you will encounter a beautifully painted Mani wall followed by forests of rhododendron plus pine trees. From the riverbed the trail includes several gentle ascents plus descents before reaching Phakding.

Day 3

Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar

Trekking Duration: 5 to 6 hours | Maximum Altitude: 3446 m | Accommodation: Lodge

The first trekking day concludes successfully. It is now time for another rewarding day on the trail. On this day you will continue the journey toward Namche Bazaar at 3446 m which serves as the main hub of the Everest region. During the trek you will cross multiple suspension bridges decorated with prayer flags plus pass several gompas along the route.

After leaving Phakding the trail continues through scenic paths characteristic of the Everest region. The walk becomes increasingly enjoyable with each step forward. Along the way you will pass major Sherpa settlements such as Bengar plus Monjo. Monjo village marks the entrance to Sagarmatha National Park which is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

With only a few kilometers remaining before Namche Bazaar you will begin to see distant views of Mount Everest Lhotse plus other high peaks of the Khumbu region. The trail then continues through a series of ascents plus descents followed by the final uphill climb to reach Namche Bazaar. Known as the most vibrant settlement in the Khumbu region Namche offers opportunities to explore the town after arrival.

Day 4

Acclimatization in Namche Bazaar

Trekking Duration: 5 to 6 hours | Maximum Altitude: 3800 m | Accommodation: Teahouse

After an enjoyable stay in Namche it is time to leave the town behind and continue toward Tengboche. The trek begins with a descent from Namche toward Ohunki. Along the route you will be rewarded with clear mountain views including Everest plus Ama Dablam. After several hours of gentle downhill trekking you will reach Phunki Tenga. Continuing for a few more hours you will begin to see the largest monastery in the region, Tengboche Monastery.

This monastery provides a blessing to every adventurer who walks along the Tengboche trail. Decorated with many colorful flags plus prayer wheels on the exterior the monastery offers magnificent views of northern mountains. Peaks such as Everest Lobuche Thamserku Ama Dablam plus several others are visible in a single sight from this location. In addition you will have the opportunity to experience one of the largest Sherpa settlements in the region.

Accommodation: Lodge

Ascending directly to higher elevations without allowing the body to adapt increases the risk of altitude sickness. For this reason it is recommended to stay around Namche before moving higher toward Lobuche Peak. On this day you will concentrate on acclimatization through short hikes around Namche plus nearby attractions. Namche Bazaar itself serves as a large mountain market with many shops restaurants cafes plus a few museums for exploration.

Another acclimatization option includes a hike to Everest View Hotel. This hotel is among the highest located hotels in the world at an elevation of 3880 m. As the name suggests the location provides spectacular views of Mount Everest plus several surrounding peaks while you have lunch. After the hike you will return to your lodge in Namche for an overnight stay.

Day 5

Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche

Trekking Duration: 5 to 6 hours | Maximum Altitude: 3800 m | Accommodation: Teahouse

Day 6

Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche

Trekking Duration: 5 to 6 hours | Maximum Altitude: 4347 m | Accommodation: Teahouse

You will wake up to the morning prayers of Tengboche Monastery creating a serene start to the day. After breakfast the trek begins toward Dingboche. The trail passes through forests of rhododendron plus conifer trees with distant mountain views. Leaving the forest you will descend toward the riverbed of Imja Khola.

Crossing the Imja Khola via a bridge the trail ascends along a slope leading to Pangboche. Here you will take a break to explore Pangboche village which is home to the famous Pangboche Monastery. From the village you can enjoy views of various mountains in the Everest region. Continuing onward the trail follows the Imja Valley alongside Lobuche River before ascending from the riverbank to reach Dingboche.

Day 7

Dingboche rest and explore the Nagarktshang Peak, 5000M

Trekking Duration: 5 to 6 hours | Maximum Altitude: 4900 m | Accommodation: Teahouse

A day of rest is well deserved. Instead of trekking long distances we will remain in the village to relax. To make the day productive and aid acclimatization there will be a short trek to Nagarjun.

The purpose of acclimatization is to walk higher and sleep lower. After breakfast the trek begins toward Nagarjun Peak. The trail starts with a steep ascent over rocks plus boulders making the climb moderately challenging.

After 2 to 3 hours of hiking you will reach Nagarjun which is a notable attraction in the Sherpa Valley. The peak offers stunning views of towering mountains steep valleys plus rocky hills. Below the peak lies a small settlement with lodges and guest houses to accommodate trekkers.

Returning from the peak the trail leads down to the village. Along the way you will pass several ancient Tibetan monasteries plus Chortens which create a striking scene. Overnight stay is at the teahouse.

Day 8

Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche

Trekking Duration: 5 to 6 hours | Maximum Altitude: 4900 m | Accommodation: Teahouse

The eighth day of the Lobuche Peak Climbing trek begins with the goal of reaching Lobuche before nightfall. At this stage altitudes approach 5000 m making the trek slightly more challenging than previous days. The trail ascends steeply through rough terrain to reach Duglha. A further steep climb leads toward Chuki Lahara.

From Lahara the trail continues past memorial stupas dedicated to lost climbers. You will then walk over the moraines of Khumbu Glacier to arrive at Lobuche village. This village is the closest settlement to Lobuche Peak and provides views of several high peaks including Lobuche Peak.

Day 9

Trek to Gorekshep and than Trek to Everest base Camp, Explore EBC and trek down to Goreskshep.

Maximum Altitude: EBC 5300 m | Trekking Duration: 6 to 7 hours

After breakfast the trek continues across flat meadows. Soon the trail turns north following the Khumbu Glacier. Climbing onto the lateral moraine you will arrive at Gorak Shep. Along the way panoramic views of snow covered peaks plus the Khumbu Glacier unfold.

After reaching Gorak Shep lunch is served. Following lunch the trek continues toward Everest Base Camp leaving backpacks behind. Gradually ascending via the moraine of Khumbu Glacier you will reach the long awaited destination, Everest Base Camp.

From this point vivid panoramic views of Mount Khumbutse Mount Pumori plus Mount Nuptse unfold with Mount Everest towering in the background. Standing here trekkers experience a mixture of emotions as a long cherished dream becomes reality.

With the mesmerizing view of Khumbu Icefall the opportunity arises to capture remarkable photographs. After spending time at the base of the world’s tallest peak the return trek begins to Gorak Shep.

Day 10

Hike to Kalapatthar and Trek to Lobuche

Trek Duration: 6 to 7 hours | Overnight: Guesthouse

Today’s hike is to the famous viewpoint of Kalapatthar at an elevation of 5644 m. This marks a key highlight of the Lobuche Peak Climbing adventure before returning to Lobuche. The morning begins early at the guesthouse with the trek toward Kalapatthar. The trail is challenging but reaching the summit is highly rewarding. From the top panoramic views unfold with surrounding mountains and Everest rising majestically in the distance.

After enjoying these breathtaking vistas the return trek begins. The descent is less strenuous but requires careful navigation over rocky terrain. The trail passes back through Lobuche. This stage allows a gentler pace while absorbing the surrounding beauty. From lush valleys to alpine landscapes plus towering peaks the scenery inspires movement in this high-altitude environment.

Upon reaching Lobuche overnight stay is at a guesthouse. At a slightly lower altitude than Kalapatthar this location provides an opportunity for rest and recovery. This evening serves to recharge for the next stage as the actual ascent of Lobuche Peak approaches.

Day 11

Trek to Lobuche High Camp

Maximum Altitude: 5300 meters | Trekking Duration: 3 to 4 hours | Accommodation: Camped Tent

You will move one step closer to the summit of Lobuche by trekking from Base Camp to Lobuche High Camp. Along the trail the terrain changes becoming steeper plus rougher. Although the trek duration is short at around 3 to 4 hours the steep slope makes it more challenging. Your team will set up a tent where you can rest.

In the afternoon the climbing guide will demonstrate climbing skills and provide tips on gear usage. This preparation ensures readiness for the main ascent of Lobuche Peak tomorrow. Following this session you will have ample rest after lunch in order to start early the next morning.

Day 12

Summit Day and trek back to Pheriche.

Maximum Altitude: 6119 meters | Trekking Duration: 8 to 10 hours | Accommodation: Lodge

The main goal of climbing Lobuche Peak is achieved today. Breakfast will be served early to allow for an early start. The ascent follows the southern ridge over steep and icy terrain. Ropes, crampons plus ice axes will be used during technical sections. With guidance from your climbing team you will ascend the more difficult parts of Lobuche Peak. After climbing the final 45 degree slope you will reach the summit of Lobuche East at 6119 meters.

At the summit a sense of joy and accomplishment will fill your heart. The celebration is enhanced by panoramic views of the Everest region. The entire region is visible from the summit making the effort of the climb feel entirely worthwhile. After spending time at the summit you will descend toward the high camp. The return trek continues to Phiriche where the condition of your body can be assessed and you can rest.

Day 13

Trek to Namche.

Trekking Duration: 5 to 6 hours | Accommodation: Teahouse

Following the same route as the ascent we trek back through Jorsalle, Monjo, Benkar, Phakding and finally arrive at Lukla.

Along the way the trail crosses numerous suspension bridges, rocky paths plus varied terrains. Sharing experiences from the journey we continue toward Lukla. After checking in at the hotel the leader makes arrangements for the flight. You can relax and refresh with drinks while enjoying the final night in the lap of the Himalayas.

Day 14

Trek back to Lukla (2860m)

Trekking Duration: 5 hours | Accommodation: Lodge

The trek resumes after breakfast at Namche Bazaar. Following the same route as the ascent we pass through Jorsalle, Monjo, Benkar, Phakding and finally reach Lukla.

Along the trail we cross several suspension bridges, rocky paths plus varied terrains. Sharing experiences from the journey we continue toward Lukla.

Day 15

Fly back to Kathmandu and to the Hotel via Hotel transfer

Flight Duration: 40 minutes | Accommodation: Hotel

The final day of the Lobuche Peak Climbing expedition has arrived.

After breakfast you will board an early flight to Kathmandu. The flight takes approximately 40 minutes. During the journey take the opportunity to enjoy the view of Nepal’s majestic mountains one last time through the plane windows.

Before landing the 40 minutes will pass quickly and you will arrive at Kathmandu airport. The hotel transfer team will be waiting to provide a smooth and hassle free transfer to your hotel.

Day 16

Final Departure as per your international flight schedule.

On the final day you will check out from the hotel after breakfast. The hotel transfer team will take you to Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu for your onward flight.

Ensure that all belongings and travel documents are ready. Depending on your flight timing there may be a short opportunity to explore Kathmandu or purchase souvenirs before departure.

This marks the conclusion of your Lobuche Peak expedition leaving you with unforgettable memories of the Himalayas.
